Reported gunwoman at UCF campus

A SWAT team was called in to the University of Central Florida main campus after police were tipped off to a social media post that a possible female shooter was inside the UCF Library Tuesday.

The library was evacuated and placed on lockdown as authorities scoured the building for the alleged gunwoman.

A shot rang out just as police deemed the situation clear, though that was explained as an accidental discharge of a police officer's weapon.

Police failed to find any such shooter after bringing in counterinsurgency teams to search the building.

As of 5 p.m. the situation was deemed safe and police left.
