Sandbags available in Ocoee, Winter Garden

The cities of Ocoee and Winter Garden and providing sandbags in preparation for Hurricane Irma, provided residents show proof of address.

OCOEE

In Ocoee, sand is available at 301 Maguire Road from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until Saturday — sooner if the sand runs out. About 1,000 bags had been given out as of 10:30 a.m., and there were about 1,000 left.

Bags will be provided, and there is a limit of 10 bags per household.

WINTER GARDEN

In Winter Garden, sandbags are available at the Winter Garden Public Services Complex, 880 W. Bay St., from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. until they run out.

Identification is required, and there is a limit of 10 sandbags per household.
