Council members will consider a request by the Orange County School Board for space for a new sign at Windermere Elementary School at the Windermere Town Council at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 9 at Town Hall.

The school is requesting a variance to allow the construction of a two-sided, 94-inch sign with an LED screen to replace its current sign.

The Council will also discuss cut-through traffic issues, review several contracts and agreements —including the Ocoee Fire Service Agreement— and vote on the acquisition of railroad right-of-way properties for plans for a mini trail system.

Florida Rep. Geraldine F. Thompson will also be present to provide a legislative update to council members.

Windermere Town Hall is located at 614 Main St.
