Supervisor of Elections offers extended hours for voter registration

With the voter-registration deadline coming up for those who wish to vote in November's general election, the Orange County Supervisor of Elections Office will offer extended hours to accommodate voters.

The voter-registration deadline for the upcoming election is Monday, Oct. 5. The Supervisor of Elections Office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, to help voters get situated. Additionally, the office will be open until 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5.

Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections, said this is an opportunity for voters who can't come into the office during normal business hours to ensure they are registered prior to Monday's deadline.

“Voters can call or come in this Saturday to make sure they get registered, their information is up-to-date, or
make registration updates if needed, Cowles said. “And it’s not just the presidential race. Many local positions and issues will be on the ballot, too.”

Voters can view their ballots now by clicking here. Early voting for the general election begins Monday, Oct. 19, and runs daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Sunday, Nov. 1. Each early-voting location will have a dropbox for vote-by-mail ballots during early-voting hours.
The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is 5 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 24.
