TBT 1997: Burch awarded at air show for antique

Selby Burch, known for his flyovers in Winter Garden, received many accolades for his restored War World II plane.

Selby Burch of Winter Garden received a Grand Champion award for his restored World War II P-51 war plane at a spring 1997 Sun ‘N Fun event in Lakeland.

He and his plane also performed a flyover during the city of Winter Garden’s Memorial Day program that year, something he did for many years before he passed away.
