Testing sites opened in West Orange County

Several local schools are serving as testing sites for COVID-19.

Residents in West Orange County have more options for getting tested for COVID-19 this week. The Florida Department of Health in Orange County is offering a third round of free, mobile testing at multiple locations in this area..

Orange County residents can secure an appointment for testing by calling DOH-Orange’s COVID-19 Call Center at (407) 723-5004. 

The call center is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Residents can leave a message and staff will contact them.  

There is no testing criteria, but those being tested must be at least 18 years old. Tests are by appointment only, and individuals can walk to the drive-through testing sites. Testing will continue as long as supplies last.

• Monday, May 11 — Independence Elementary School, 6255 New Independence Parkway, Winter Garden

• Tuesday, May 12 — Olympia High School, 4301 S. Apopka Vineland Road, Orlando 

• Wednesday, May 13 — Camping World Stadium, 1 Citrus Bowl Place, Orlando

• Thursday, May 14 — Evans High School, 4949 Silver Star Road, Orlando

• Friday, May 15 — Prairie Lake Elementary School, 8723 Hackney Prairie Road, Orlando.
