Three suspects were arrested Monday, Feb. 10, after reportedly stealing 30 Apple iPhones from a Walmart in Ocoee — along with more merchandise from a Walmart in Kissimmee.

Officers from the Ocoee Police Department, with help from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office,  arrested Maurice Whyte, Keniece Wyche and Jaquilla Edwards for burglary of a structure and grand theft.

According to a statement from the Ocoee Police Department, the three suspects entered the Walmart at 10500 W. Colonial Drive, broke into a locked display case and stole 30 iPhones.

Ocoee Police say that Wyche distracted a Walmart associate and Edwards acted as a lookout while Whyte forced his way into the display case behind a sales counter.

After the burglary, deputies with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office located the suspects as they unloaded the stolen merchandise at a hotel on International Drive. The suspects were also in possession of 15 stolen Apple Watches and 10 stolen Apple iPads from a Walmart in Kissimmee.

Edwards and Wyche have since bonded out of the Orange County Jail, while Whyte is still in custody.
