One gas station in Hamlin is going through some maintenance in order to improve its quality of business.

The Walmart gas station, located at 16313 New Independence Pkwy., was blocked off with tape some of last week, leaving resident questioning what was happening at the fuel location.

The pumps were reported to have been blocked off with tape, including the tire pumping station, on Sunday, Nov. 14.

An employee at the gas station assured that the temporary shut-down was not a case of lack of fuel, but instead a malfunction of the pumps.

"Last week and weekend we were dealing with some issues where our pumps needed a filter change," the Walmart gas station employee said. "Now, we are up and running completely so hopefully that alleviated the issues."

As of Thursday, Nov. 19, all pumps are up and running as well as the tire pumping station.
