End of Year Awards

Four West Orange water polo players who graduated last week were awarded $1,000 scholarships recently through the Bill Marshall Memorial Scholarship program.

Class of 2014 graduates Daniel Dennis, Briana Singh, Dabir Siddiqi and McKaylah Gioia all received the scholarship, marking the largest donation in the scholarship’s 20 year history. The scholarship is named for Bill Marshall, who was an integral figure in the aquatic sports community in Central Florida for many years and played an important role in water polo’s being added as a sanctioned high school sport. Marshall’s widow, Susan Marshall, operates the program and awards the scholarship.
