Here are some ideas for your weekend!

1. A Conversation with Tuskegee Airmen

2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, May 19, at the Winter Park Public Library, 460 E. New England Ave., Winter Park. Meet an original Red Tail and other members and hear them all share their experience integrating the armed forces, from training school to active duty. Find out what the Tuskegee Airmen mean for us, today. Registration is strongly suggested (grades 5 to adult). Register online at wppl.org/conversation-tuskegee-airmen or call (407) 623-3300.

 

2. Oakland Manor House Gallery Exhibition Opening

7 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Oakland Manor House, 620 N. Tubb St. Hosted by Oakland Manor House Gallery and Artscape, the “Homes & Gardens” exhibit is a celebration of homes, gardens and landscapes in artwork created by local artists. Food and refreshments included. Event is free but RSVP is required by calling (407) 614-8219.

 

3. Rotary Family Dance Night

6 to 10 p.m. Friday, May 17, at Tanner Hall, 29 W. Garden Ave., Winter Garden. This fun event, in its second year, will include a disc jockey spinning dance tunes, a silent auction, light hors d’oeuvres and two beverage tickets. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children under 10 and are available at rotaryclubofwintergarden.org.

 

4. Winter Park Farmers’ Market 40th Anniversary Celebration

10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, May 18, at the Winter Park Farmers’ Market, 200 W. New England Ave., Winter Park. Join the Winter Park Farmers’ Market as they celebrate 40 years. The event will include a kids zone, door prizes and a doggie fashion show, with registration starting at 9:30 a.m. The market will go on as usual from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. For more information, call (407) 599-3341.
