If you aren’t sure what to do this weekend, maybe one of these events is for you!

 

1. 3RD ANNUAL 2ND CHANCE PROM

If you missed your high school prom or just want to make a new prom memory, here’s your chance!

7 to 11 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at the Jim Beech Recreation Center, 1820 A.D. Mims Road, Ocoee. Enjoy Mardi Gras Magic, which includes dinner, dancing and a prom photo. Tickets are $60 per couple, $35 for singles. For tickets and questions, email [email protected].

 

2. MUD ROOSTER IN WOOFSTOCK CONCERT

Do you like good local music and local hangouts? Try this one:

6 p.m. Saturday, June 8, at Yellow Dog Eats, 1236 Hempel Ave., Gotha. Enjoy the sounds of Mud Rooster in this concert series at the restaurant. (407) 296-0609.

 

3. SUMMER SIDEWALK SALE

What better way to support local businesses than to participate in this annual event?

11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, June 8, in Winter Garden’s downtown historic district. Rain or shine, shops will be open and offering a variety of sales and specials, and there will be raffles and live music at the gazebo throughout the day.

At the Centennial Plaza gazebo, Mud Rooster performs at 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and Spayed Koolie takes the stage from 3:30 to 7 p.m.

The Winter Garden Art Association is hosting a free children’s art project at the SoBo Art Gallery until 5 p.m. Participants can create their own take-home masterpiece. (407) 656-4111.

 

4. “THE PRINCESS BRIDE”

Are you waiting for your Westley? Do you like slapstick comedy? Can you quote whole scenes of this classic?

7:30 p.m. Sunday, June 9, at the Garden Theatre, 160 W. Plant St., Winter Garden. Westley must rescue his beloved Buttercup from Prince Humperdink, but Vizzini, Fezzik and Inigo Montoya are just a few of the iconic characters who stand in his way. Dress as your favorite character. Are you brave enough to travel through the Fire Swamp, fight the Rodents of Unusual Size and climb the Cliffs on Insanity? Tickets are $15.
