Mandy Faulkner and her son, Ethan, 2, are homeless no more.

Two weeks ago, the pair moved into one of Matthew’s Hope’s transitional houses in Winter Garden. The homeless organization has spent the last year refurbishing a group of houses in Morgan Street.

Founder Scott Billue said Faulkner was selected as the 1st recipient because she has done everything asked of her throughout the application process, including working on the homes. ‘She is an amazing young woman,’ he said. Faulkner became homeless less than a year ago after a series of problems with her health and her vehicle.
