West Orange Girls Club spring season a go

The West Orange Girls Club spring softball season is quickly approaching, and registration is currently ongoing and evaluations forthcoming.

The club, which has been in operation since 1978, is committed to playing a safe Spring 2021 season and will offer playing opportunities with teams at the 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 16U levels. Meanwhile, evaluations for teams will be held over the next two Saturdays — Jan. 30 and Feb. 6 — before teams are picked Feb. 7.

Following the start of the season March 6, games will be played Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays until the closing of the regular season on May 22. The organization will be playing inner-league games against other Babe Ruth teams as well.

Once the regular season is complete, those selected to the All-Star teams — which will be picked earlier in the season — will play in district and regional Babe Ruth Tournaments for postseason play barring any issues regarding COVID-19.
