Dr. Phillips alum Shane Larkin had a career night in the Turkish League title game Friday, June 21, for Anadolu Efes, as he went off for 38 points on 11-of-18 shooting.

1. On Saturday, June 22, multiple members of The First Academy softball team were named to the Miracle Sports All State Team (Class 4A). Katie Bonnett was named to the first team, while Mariana Alemany and Emily Bonnett were named to the second team.

 

2. On Saturday, June 22, three members of the Dr. Phillips softball team were named to the Miracle Sports All State Team (Class 9A). Pitcher Racyhel Trocki and DH Kati Kelly were named to the second team, while Gracie Lopez was named honorable mention.

 

3. Dr. Phillips alum Shane Larkin had a career night in the Turkish League title game Friday, June 21, for Anadolu Efes. In the 89-74, Game 7 win over Fenerbahce Beko, Larkin went off for 38 points on 11-of-18 shooting to lead Efes to its 14th Turkish League title. He also added three rebounds and four assists on his way to being named MVP.

 

4. The Windermere Wildfire 16U team dominated in the Diamond Classic Summer Showcase in Spartanburg, South Carolina, this past weekend. The Wildfire went 4-0 over the span of the two-day tournament, outscoring opponents 32-2 in dominating fashion.

 

5. The Dr. Phillips and Windermere girls flag football teams had players recently named to the 2019 FACA Class 2A Flag Football All-State team Friday, June 21. Dr. Phillips senior wide receiver Nisa Costa was named to the first-team offense, while teammate Megan Lapeyrouse was named to the third-team defense. Meanwhile, Windermere’s Bryce Brozovich was named to the third-team offense, as teammate Makenna Griffitts was named an honorable mention.
