With district play just a week and a half away, the Winter Park boys basketball team continues to streak toward the playoffs. They trounced University 83-52 on Saturday night, making for their seventh win in a row in an undefeated January.

And they proved they could do it without Austin Rivers, who continues to recover from an ankle sprain. Brett Comer, Robert Lovaglio and Isaac Turner led the team in scoring, with Comer scoring 22 points.

With the win, the Cats' record improved to 16-4 overall and 7-0 in district play.

They played Boone at press time, but will return to the court at 7:30 p.m. Friday night to host Dr. Phillips.
