Windermere had to win only one more set, and they would be state champions for the first time.

Alas, it was not to be as they fell to the Plant Panthers 3-2 in a match that could be considered an all-time classic.

The Wolverines led 2-1 heading into the fourth set, but Plant won the last two sets to claim victory.

Windermere finishes the season 27-4.
