The Windermere Police Department is working together to support a local charity organization for the holidays.

The department is partnering with One Heart for Women and Children for its Christmas drive.

One Heart for Women and Children is a non-profit that helps individuals who are homeless or in times of transition by helping them meet their most essential needs.

The organization helps provide access to food, clothing, school supplies, personal hygiene items, household items and more.

One Heart is requesting unwrapped toys for all ages as well as Walmart gift cards.

The items can be dropped off at the WPD temporary facility at the corner of Forest St. and 5th Ave.

The department will be accepting donations through Friday, Dec. 3.
