The Windermere Police Department is looking for the man responsible for burglarizing a car parked in the driveway of a home in The Willows subdivision. The burglar was caught on a home security camera at 6:15 a.m.

According to police, the male suspect had his face covered and used a punch device and then kicked a window to gain entry to the victim’s car. He then fled the area in a dark, newer-model SUV that was waiting in front of the victim’s home, police said.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the suspect is asked to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS or contact Detective John Allen at (407) 909-5306 or [email protected].

Windermere police are asking neighbors to look at their security cameras to see if there is better footage of the escape vehicle’s tag or the suspect.
