Windermere Prep swimmers break records at weekend swim meet

An individual school record fell along with a relay record highlight Laker performance in meet with Bishop Moore and Windermere

Windermere Prep swimmers had a meet to remember this past weekend. 

During the Lakers’ meet against Bishop Moore and Windermere High School, freshman Alejandro Varon broke the school record in the 100-yard backstroke in a time of 58 seconds and 71 tenths. 

Varon later followed that up with another record as part of the 400 freestyle relay. He, sophomore Christian Magruder, junior Hunter Mays and sophomore Marco Bezerra touched in a time of 3:29.68. 

The Lakers lost to Bishop Moore 157-44 for the boys and 198-136 on the girls side. The girls also lost to Windermere 221-113.
