Windermere Preparatory School is kicking of its theatre season with the presentation of the first play of the year, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow."

"The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" surrounds the legend of a mighty headless Hessian. When humble school teacher, Ichabod Crane, vies for the hand of the beautiful Katrina Van Tassel, the townsfolk might protest, but it is ultimately the Horseman who will decide his fate.

Opening night will be Thursday, Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. The show will run until Saturday, Oct. 9.

Attendees must wear a mask inside at all times.

However, the school will also offer a live stream through the Windermere Prep YouTube page.

"Our high school theatre department has been working tirelessly and is excited to showcase their talents to the community," the school said in a press release. "Support your local arts today and join us for a spooky evening!"
