Winter Garden City Commission to vote on no-build option for turnpike interchange

Winter Garden City Commission will convene its first meeting of the month at City Hall, 300 W. Plant Street, at 6:30 p.m. this evening.

Among the agenda items is a resolution in support of the no-build option for the Florida Department of Transportation/Turnpike Authority’s proposed interchange at the intersection of the Florida Turnpike and County Road 545/Avalon Road in Winter Garden.

Several residents voiced their opposition to the interchange during an Oct. 7 meeting at Winter Garden’s Tanner Hall.
