When Winter Garden commissioners meet Thursday, Jan. 23, one of the items they will vote on is whether to approve the site plan for the Boys and Girls Club at 303 W. Crown Point Road.

According to the agenda, the applicant is requesting site plan approval for a single-story Boys and Girls Club building on the 9.35-acre property. The building would comprise 10,044 square feet and serve as a recreation and learning center for the organization.

Site plans include multiple computer labs, a teen game room, music studio, arts lab and space dedicated to learning about health and life skills.

The second readings of two ordinances that could result in new medical office buildings and a church on Winter Garden Vineland Road — as well as a trio of ordinances that could bring hotels and other commercial development to the northeast corner of West Colonial Drive and Carter Road — were originally set to take place during this meeting. However, staff is recommending they be postponed to the Feb. 13 meeting.
