Winter Garden to discuss keeping 4.5 millage rate

A proposal to keep the city's current millage rate in place for the 2021-22 fiscal year will be discussed during the July 8 Winter Garden City Commission meeting.

The current rate is set at 4.5 mills, which is the same rate that has been in place since FY 2018-19. Previously, the city’s millage rate had remained static for eight years at 4.25. 

Additionally, commissioners will set the dates for the city's upcoming budget hearings. The first option is Sept. 7 and 21; the second option is Sept. 8 and 22; and the third is Sept. 15 and 29.
