• Request of UP Fieldgate US Investments – Winter Park LLC:

o Amend conditional use and development agreement for Whole Foods project at 1000/1040 N. Orlando Ave., 1160 Galloway Drive and 967 Cherokee Ave., providing for the addition of the development properties at 900/950 N. Orlando Ave.

• Request of Knightira, LLC:

o Subdivision or lot split approval to divide the property at 1751 Taylor Ave. into two, single-family building lots

• Request of JT Palm Holdings LLC (Cask & Larder):

o First reading of the ordinance amending the “Comprehensive Plan” Future Land Use Map to change from a Single Family Density Residential Future Land Use Designation to a Parking Lot Future Land Use Designation on the vacant property at 520 South Pennsylvania Ave.

o First reading of the ordinance amending the Official Zoning Map to change from Single Family Residential (R-1A) District zoning to Parking Lot (PL) District zoning on the property at 520 S. Pennsylvania Ave.

• Appeal by Ms. Martha Bryant-Hall, owner, of the decision by the Historic Preservation Board, August 24, 2016, to deny her application for historic designation of her home at 331 W. Lyman Ave., as a historic resource on the Winter Park Register of Historic Places.

CoffeeTalk with Commissioner Pete Weldon

CoffeeTalk featuring Commissioner Weldon will be held Thursday, Oct. 20, at 8 a.m., at the Winter Park Welcome Center located at 151 W. Lyman Ave. Now in its 11th season, CoffeeTalk has become the place for citizens that have “a latte beans to grind” or simply to “espresso their thoughts.” The purpose of CoffeeTalk is to give citizens the opportunity to talk to their city leaders in a more casual, informal environment, and avoid the stage fright that is often experienced at large meetings. Please make plans to join Commissioner Weldon for a cup of conversation and great coffee provided by Barnie’s CoffeeKitchen.

Pumpkins & Munchkins in Shady Park

The Parks & Recreation Department of the City of Winter Park will present the 6th Annual Pumpkins & Munchkins in Shady Park on Monday, Oct. 31, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., in Shady Park, adjacent to the Winter Park Community Center at 721 W. New England Ave.

Munchkins of all ages are invited to attend this free family-friendly event. Fun-filled activities will include games, bounce houses, a costume contest, Trick-or-Treat Trail and safe Halloween fun for everyone. If inclement weather tries to dampen the evening, the event will have to be cancelled.

Fall cleanup

The City of Winter Park is pleased to announce the 2016 Fall Cleanup during the month of November is just in time for the holiday season. This large-item pickup service will provide a bonus day on which Waste Pro, the city’s solid waste service provider, will pick up old furniture, broken appliances, and other bulky items.

To take advantage of this convenient service, residents must place their items curbside after 5 p.m., on the evening before their second scheduled garbage and trash pickup day on their designated cleanup week. If you live north of the Fairbanks/Aloma avenues corridor, your bonus pick-up day will be Thursday, Nov. 3, or Friday, Nov. 4. If you live south of the Fairbanks/Aloma avenues corridor, your bonus pick-up day will be Thursday, Nov. 10, or Friday, Nov. 11.

Please Note: Hazardous waste, electronics and yard waste are not included in the Fall Cleanup.
