Construction to impact travel to Saturday farmers market

On Friday, Jan. 22, at 8 p.m., New York and Lyman avenues improvements will continue, which includes replacement of the railroad tracks, as well as demolition, rebuilding, and resurfacing of the existing rough railroad crossing to create a smoother road surface. Both the railroad crossing and intersection will be closed in most directions to vehicular and pedestrian traffic, and is expected to reopen Sunday, Jan. 24, at approximately 11 p.m.

This closure will impact the pedestrian and vehicular traffic during the Saturday, Jan. 23, Winter Park Farmers Market. Attendees are asked to follow the detour signs that will direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic to and from the market during this time.

The city continually strives to minimize inconvenience to local residents and through traffic during construction. We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this important project. For additional information, please contact the Public Works Department at 407-599-3262.
