Vision Winter Park officially launched

Vision Winter Park has marked the start of a year-long process by launching its official website visionwinterpark.org and logo.

The final member of the Visioning Steering Committee was appointed and confirmed at the June 8 City Commission meeting. This 21-member committee will work with consultants from Logan Simpson, city staff and the community to help set the stage to guide the vision for the city’s future.

The first of many opportunities for the public to share their input began June 10, and will continue Wednesday, June 24 and Thursday, June 25. Between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m., city staff, visioning steering committee members, and the team from Logan Simpson will hold short, 30-minute one-on-one meetings to:

• Gain feedback on the overall process

• Find out how to reach others

• Identify willingness to co-create the plan

• Identify the unsung heroes already working to make Winter Park a special place

Meetings will be held at the Rachel D. Murrah Civic Center located at 1050 W. Morse Blvd. To reserve your time, please contact Lisa Smith at [email protected] or 407-599-3324.

Join Commissioner Greg Seidel at CoffeeTalk

This year marks the 10th anniversary of CoffeeTalk where the community can talk one-on-one with city leaders. On Thursday, July 9, citizens can join Commissioner Greg Seidel in his very first CoffeeTalk at 8 a.m. at the Winter Park Welcome Center located at 151 W. Lyman Ave.

CoffeeTalk was developed in 2005 to give citizens the opportunity meet in a more casual, informal environment and avoid the “stage fright” that is often experienced at large meetings. If you have “a latte beans to grind” or simply want to “espresso your thoughts” CoffeeTalk is the perfect cup for you. Mark your calendars for a cup of conversation and great coffee provided by Barnie’s Coffee Kitchen. For more information, please call 407-599-3428.
