Following an appearance in court, Jeremy Lawson was sentenced to 10-years in prison after being found guilty of three-counts of sexual battery, one-count of false imprisonment, and one count of battery (with priors).

His sentencing comes after an investigation by the Winter Park Police Department regarding a woman who had been recently victimized by Lawson.

The WPPD said this wasn't the first time they had encountered Lawson, as back in 2014, following a lengthy investigation, officers from the department arrested him on sex trafficking in Winter Park. Lawson would serve three-years in the Department of Corrections for false imprisonment and forced prostitution.

WPPD said that after finishing his three-years, Lawson moved back to Winter Park.

To add to his current sentencing, Lawson was arrested by WPPD on drug and firearm charges while out on bond for this sexual battery case — those charges are still pending.
