Winter Park Police Department officer involved in shooting incident

At 11:03 p.m. Wednesday night, the Winter Park Police Department reported that one of their officers had been involved in a shooting incident on Mead Ave. in Winter Park — which sits between S. Denning Drive and Orchid Ave. 

In an update the Department stated that the officer involved was not injured, and that the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and detectives from WPPD were currently investigating the scene.
