WINDERMERE PREP ROCKIN’ CARNIVAL

5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, at Windermere Preparatory School, 6189 Winter Garden Vineland Road, Windermere.

Enjoy an evening of rides, penny games, bounce houses, rock wall, DJ, food truck and a Movie Under the Stars. Unlimited ride wristbands are $25, and single-ride tickets are $5.

DONUT DASH 5K

8 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, starting at Newton Park, 1 Surprise Drive Winter Garden.

Run or walk through the historic downtown streets and down by Lake Apopka and enjoy doughnuts along the way. Every Krispy Kreme doughnut eaten in one of the three “doughnut zones” will take 30 seconds off the final run time. The zones will be set up at the one-, two- and three-mile mark on the course. Children ages 5 to 12 can participate in the kids mini-doughnut fun run around 9:15 a.m.

Event will include live music, sponsor tents and giveaways. Registered participants will receive a race medal. The best doughnut costume will win a prize, too. The race benefits the Winter Garden Police Athletic League.

FALL GATHERING ON THE FARM

9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Lake Meadow Naturals, 10000 Mark Adam Road, Ocoee.

Enjoy farmer’s blend burgers, egg tours and pony rides. The egg tour gives guests a chance to see the entire process from start to finish. Lunch is $5.95, and pony rides are $7.

FLAVOR FEST OF HORIZON WEST

5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Hamlin – Horizon West Town Center, 5400 Hamlin Groves Trail, Winter Garden.

The event is an immersive experience fusing together local fare, art, music and entertainment. More than 100 microlocal eateries, artists, musicians, entertainers and businesses are participating. The dining experience will feature small-plate selections. Food sales will be a combination of presold tickets and the option for attendees to purchase a la carte during the event.

ST. LUKE’S HOLIDAY MARKETPLACE

8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, 4851 S. Apopka-Vineland Road, Orlando.

Shop seasonal handmade crafts, goodies and gifts both days and visit the Kids Zone on Saturday only for pictures with Santa. Proceeds support missions and charities.
