Jack Horace Price, 88, of Belle Isle, Fla., was born the youngest of eight children in Rogersville, Tenn., on May 6, 1923. The family moved to Orlando when he was 6 months old. His Tennessee roots and namesake are a part of the Conway area history. Lake Tennessee, Price Avenue, Tennessee Terrace and in east Orange County, Price Lake were all named by them. Jack attended Orlando High School (class of 1941) and the University of Florida, where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta fraternity. He entered the Army in 1943, was wounded in the Battle of the Bulge during World War II and received a purple heart.

He became a realtor and along with selling homes and properties, he developed about 20 subdivisions including Jacquelyn Heights, named after his wife whom he married in 1949. He was chairman of the Board of the South Orlando Branch of SunTrust and a lifetime member of the South Orlando Kiwanis Club, Oak Ridge High Football Boosters Club, New Wind sponsor, along with many other church and civic-sponsored activities.

Upon retirement, Jack and his wife bought a farm in Rogersville, Tenn., where he spent every summer growing the biggest and best fruits and vegetables in his two-plus acre garden. Many family members, friends and people in need were blessed by Jack and Jackie’s generosity.

Jack became a Christian at the age of 12 and continued to love God and share Him with others his whole life. He was an active member of Downtown Baptist Church in Orlando and attended Choptack Baptist Church in Tennessee.

Jack went home to heaven on Monday, July 25, 2011 after a lengthy hospital stay following heart surgery. He is preceded in death by his parents, William Kyle Price Sr., and Mamie Day Price, six of his siblings, his son Jack “Buzzy” H. Price Jr. and granddaughter Jennifer Lee Tegg. He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Roffler Price, his children James “Jim” Edmond Price, Helen Price Tegg, son-in-law John B. Tegg III and daughter-in-law Julie Price Mifsud (Joseph Mifsud), grandchildren Christine Tegg Wheeler (Eric Wheeler), John B. Tegg IV, Mary Paige Price, Rachel White and sister Alice Price Gaventa. The funeral was held July 29. Donations can be made to Downtown Baptist Church Faith Missions.

Pedro Hernandez Cirilo, Jr., 67, of Apopka, Fla., passed away Friday, July 29, 2011. He was born in Weslaco, Texas, to Pedro Cirilo, Sr. and Guadalupe Hernandez on April 29, 1944. Pedro was a crew leader contractor for the farming/agriculture industry and he served for our great country in the Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Belia V. Cirilo, his children and their spouses: Lorenzo & Roseanne Cirilo, Eufemio & Katie Cirilo and Paz & Jaime Morales; his grandchildren: Lorenzo M. Garcia, Stephanie N. Cirilo, Amaris J. Cirilo, Gabriella M. Cirilo, Lilliana E. Cirilo, Evan H. Cirilo, Emily H. Cirilo, Kyle C. Zarraga, Dominick C. Morales, Yahaira C. Morales, Pazaracely C. Morales, Jaime E. Morales, Edward E. Morales; his great grandchildren: Daunte A. Frazier and Dominic V. Robledo; his siblings: Manuel, George, Rene, Jonny, Roel, Israel, Sara, Irene, Aida and Maggie Cirilo. A funeral service was held Aug. 1. In leui of flowers, the family is requesting donations to them in Pedro’s memory.

Warren J. Sloane, 78, of Casselberry, Fla., passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011. He is survived by his wife, Connie, daughters Debbie (Jeff), Donna (Paul), Barbra (Harry), grandchildren Ben (Kelly), Naomi (Fred), great-grandchildren Makenzie, Emma and brother Arthur (Ann). He was greatly devoted to his family and serving others. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Comforter or Tuskawilla United Methodist Church.

Lisette Del Valle, 25, passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2011. The world lost a warrior and God gained an angel. Rest in peace, Lisette Del Valle, who at age 25 showed the inspiration, strength and courage that could only be obtained throughout a lifetime. May you dance with the sun and sing to the heavens. We love you and will always remember you.
