It's my catch phrase for a few months now and, I admit, I do LUV it: Holy Bricks and Spanish Moss! Remember all those Batman & Robin shows shot in the 60s? Pow! Bam! Wow! Well, this is my version. Key the fun graphics and drama . . . Holy Bricks & Spanish Moss! Hee hee. I'm determined to make it work so be prepared to see it again and again.

Okay, admittedly this week I'm a big Winter Park tease. When it comes to my facebook posts about Winter Park nostalgia, two business reign supreme: Cottrell's 5 & 10 and East India Ice Cream Shop. Well, in my column in the next Winter Park / Maitland Observer I spill the beans on something I don't think a lot of people know. And yeah, if I go on too much here, I just may spoil it. So, I shall refrain. (TRY) But, I am mounting a posse of sort -- a summertime cool LUV 'n flash mob -- to enjoy the secret once revealed! Interested? Let me know! Just know without question it IS very much about that once beLUVed business and a, well, from what I know, very modern take on it I'm quite sure its fans will be delighted to know.

Congrats Maitland biz owner and hair wiz, Wesley Boyce! Wes and his WeBo Creative Concepts were featured today on ILUVWinterPark.com for a 50% off deal, but ALSO, Wes was just featured in a national blog for his superb skills! Check out the locks and tell me you don't want him to help sculpt your new coif! See the blog here: http://mybestfriendshair.com/blog/2012/07/13/wesley-boycewebo-creative-concepts/ And, collect the LUV (Local Use Voucher) here: http://iluvwinterpark.com/voucher.cfm?id=69

This morning I received info on a new event I think sounds absolutely fun. I don't have time this evening to post a lot, but am posting some info with link for your exploration and will post more in the coming month, as we get closer. The 48 Hour Film Project's mission is to advance filmmaking and promote filmmakers. Through its festival/competition, the Project encourages filmmakers and would-be filmmakers to get out there and make movies. The tight deadline of 48 hours puts the focus squarely on the filmmakers—emphasizing creativity and teamwork skills. While the time limit places an unusual restriction on the filmmakers, it is also liberating by putting an emphasis on "doing" instead of "talking." And you can find out more at: http://www.48hourfilm.com/orlando

And. . . . . lastly, but certainly NOT least . . . Give A Dog A Home! This time another from Pet Rescue by Judy and she's definitely a top dog, cause her name is Topper! She's so cute, PRETTY! Read and see more about Topper and other furkids at Pet Rescue by Judy on the site: http://www.petrescuebyjudy.com/animals/detail?AnimalID=4109805
