Fannie Hillman increases first quarter sales

Despite a still struggling economy and an industry-wide existing home market that typically experiences a drop off in first quarter sales, Fannie Hillman + Associates posted 86 first quarter closings, which was 10.3 percent better than a comparable period last year. The company’s first quarter closings produced a volume of $25.9 million, highlighted by the sale of a $2.48 million home on Winter Park’s Lake Maitland. For the quarter, sales averaged $300,685, down 59 percent from last year’s first quarter average sale due primarily to the number of distressed properties included in its 86 transactions.

Kelly Price has healthy first quarter

Kelly Price & Company, one of Central Florida’s leading residential real estate firms, celebrates a healthy first quarter with almost $25 million dollars in sales. With more than 65 sold transactions in the first quarter alone, Kelly Price & Company is setting the tone for the upcoming months. With the lowest MLS inventory in recent years, demand for these homes goes up, which is taking us out of a buyers market and into a sellers market. This is a hopeful sign of the market stabilizing and supply and demand equalizing.
