Movies in the Park will feature “Hotel for Dogs” at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, on the Baldwin Park Village Center Green in front of Barnie’s. Family activities will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by entertainment and announcements at 7:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs and blankets. Seating is limited.

“Words + Art: A Museum Adventure” will be hosted by Jamie Morris of Woodstream Writers at the Mennello Museum of American Art. Participants will write personal responses to colorful folk art in the museum’s “Eye Spy: Faces” exhibit. The workshop will be from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Sept. 25, and is open to teens and adults. Registration is required as there are only 10 spots available. The cost is $20 and reservations can be made by calling 407-246-4278.

The Winter Park High School Drama department will present the classic American play “Our Town” by Thornton Wilder at the Ann Derflinger Auditorium at WPHS for six performances from Thursday, Sept. 27, through Saturday, Oct. 6. It tells of the life of two teenagers in the fictional small town of Grover's Corners, N.H., at the dawn of the 20th century. Performances will be at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee on Oct. 6. All tickets are $10 at the door. WPHS's Ann Derflinger Auditorium is located at 2100 Summerfield Road in Winter Park.

Project Walk Orlando is having its 3rd Annual Walk-n-Roll-a-Thon from 9 a.m. to noon on Sunday, Sept. 30, at Cranes Roost Park, 274 Cranes Roost Blvd. Registration begins at 8:15 a.m. Information, registration and pledge forms can be found at ProjectWalkOrlando.org/events.html

Enzian’s Popcorn Flicks in Central Park will feature “Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein” from 8 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11. Gather friends, grab a blanket and enjoy classic family films once a month under the stars in Winter Park’s Central Park. Films and popcorn are free compliments of Enzian.
