- June 3, 2017
The first official day of summer is June 20, but with school being out, families are already looking for things to do. Come to Baldwin Park to enjoy some yogurt at Delish Frozen Yogurt or stop by Planet Smoothie to try some of their refreshing smoothies. There are many other places to eat and shop while you are here.
As for events: The First Friday Charity Festival & Art Stroll will be from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Friday, June 7, in the Baldwin Park Village Center. The monthly event is free to the public and is both family- and pet-friendly.
Fairwinds Credit Union is having a bake sale to raise money for Pet Rescue by Judy on June 7 and 8, and again on June 14 and 15, during regular business hours. Stop by if you are in the area.
Also, it’s not too early to start making your plans now for the Baldwin Park Independence Day Bash. This year’s Independence Day Bash is Friday, July 5, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and is going to be bigger and better than ever! The annual Independence Day event, presented by the Baldwin Park Joint Committee, coincides with the Baldwin Park Merchants Association’s First Friday series, and on July 5 the two events will be combined to create a street festival in Village Center. The event culminates with a fantastic fireworks show over Lake Baldwin at dark. The event will feature musical entertainment from Room 2, as well as BradmasterJ Musiq, and will include several entertainment and shopping areas along New Broad Street , including a beer garden with a fantastic summer barbecue food menu, a family fun area and an art stroll area. Help us make this a fantastic event for Baldwin Park and the surrounding Central Florida communities! Event organizers are now accepting artist, sponsors, and vendor applications! Please contact Brett Blake with BOOM Marketing & Events at [email protected] or 407-923-3849 for more information.
Have a great summer!
