Publix helps kids

Publix Super Markets customers and associates again showed their support for local sick and injured kids treated at UF Health Shands Children’s Hospital and Arnold Palmer Medical Center during the annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals in-store fundraiser. This year’s campaign raised $273,058, a record amount and a 16 percent increase over 2012 totals.

Funds generated from the summer campaign will help purchase patient care equipment, fund research, provide diversionary activities, and support educational and advocacy programs for children's health. Greater Orlando Children's Miracle Network Hospitals makes it possible for these hospitals to maintain and upgrade their pediatric programs so they can continue to provide young patients with the most advanced medical treatment available.
