“Realtors are devoted to meeting the homeownership needs of all our citizens,” says ORRA Chairman Steve Merchant, USMC (Ret.), owner-broker of Global Realty International. “It is an honor and a duty for ORRA and our Realtors to help who those serve our country achieve the American dream of homeownership.”
The workshop will present information about VA benefits and the various homeownership programs, resources and services available to military personnel. Topics to be covered include:
• VA loan income and credit requirements
• VA loan guaranty program and automated systems
• VA home loan entitlement
• VA home loan certificate of eligibility
• VA home loan repair requirements and waiver process
Attendees will also receive a list of Orlando Realtors who have recently earned Florida Military Specialist certification. These Realtors have been specially trained to better serve the homeownership needs of military personnel as they buy and sell their homes, and are well versed in disability issues, assistance programs and financing options.
The workshop, along with the Florida Military Specialist certification program, is being subsidized by a grant awarded to the ORRA Market Diversity Subcommittee.
