Church of the Good Shepherd’s Fish Fry fundraiser is from 5 to 7 p.m. April 25 at 331 Lake Ave. in Maitland. It’s only $6 per platter of fish, french fries, hush puppies, coleslaw, baked beans, dessert, lemonade or iced tea. Takeout is available! Call 407-644-5350 for more information.

In the mood to show off your fitness (or just get moving)? It’s the 22nd annual Jeannette Genius McKean Run for the Trees 5K in Winter Park. It starts at 7:30 a.m. April 26 at Showalter Field in Winter Park. Visit cityofwinterpark.org for more information.

If you missed the American Idol cut, you can still let your voice be heard. Share your talents with the world and help families prevent becoming homeless during a crisis at the 2014 Charity Singing Competition – “SING! To End Homelessness!” On Saturday, April 26, singers, bands and groups of all ages from every genre are invited to audition for the competition with hopes of advancing to the May 17 grand finale. The Sandspur and WPRK 91.5 FM are getting ready to host the second annual Fox Fest concert at Rollins College. The event will take place from 4 to 10 p.m. April 26 at Mary Jean Plaza on the Rollins College campus. The event is open to Rollins students, faculty, staff and the surrounding communities of Winter Park and Orlando. This annual International Day of Remembrance commemorates the lives of the 6 million Jews who died during the Holocaust and honors the survivors, liberators and rescuers who keep their memories alive. The event will take place Sunday, April 27, in the gymnasium of the Jewish Community Center, 851 N. Maitland Ave. (next door to the Holocaust Center) and will begin at 4 p.m. It’s free!
