John Race named chair of Rollins Board

The Rollins College Crummer Graduate School of Business announced last Thursday that John Race has been named the new chair of the Board of Overseers. He follows fellow Crummer graduate Tom McEvoy, who recently transitioned to the role of interim dean in July. Prior to this appointment, Race held a seat on the Board for 17 years and was recently inducted to the Crummer Alumni Hall of Fame.

Local firm negotiates 10 lease agreements

NAI Realvest recently negotiated 10 industrial lease agreements throughout Central Florida during September totaling 64,041 square feet. Michael Heidrich, a principal, and associate Kristen Kemp negotiated the transactions.

The Mustard Seed seeks volunteers to rebuild lives

The Mustard Seed of Central Florida is a furniture and clothing bank with the mission to rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy. Located on 12 Mustard Seed Lane in Orlando, the Mustard Seed of Central Florida continually seeks volunteers to assist with various light-duty and manual tasks, such as: mattress recycling, lawn maintenance, cleaning, organizing donations, technical support and hosting the Junk in the Trunk clothing drives. Donated sofas, dressers, dining tables, dishes and linens are needed as well. Individual or group volunteers are appreciated. The Mustard Seed is open for volunteer help Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and select Saturdays.
