Local residents make Baylor dean’s list

More than 3,100 Baylor University students were named to the Dean's Academic Honor Roll for the 2015 spring semester, including Maitland resident Hamilton Bright from the College of Arts and Sciences and Winter Park resident Stephen Jack Reiman from the Hankamer School of Business. To be named to the dean's list, a student must be an undergraduate with a minimum grade-point average of 3.7, while enrolled in a minimum of 12 semester hours.

Florida Community Bank opens learning center

Kent S. Ellert, Florida Community Bank President & CEO, announced the grand opening of the FCB Learning Center and the official launch of the FCB Masters Program. The FCB Masters is a seven-month program designed to develop the credit, financial analysis, relationship and branch management abilities of financial banking professionals. The program provides a hands-on, rotation-based learning experience where individuals are exposed to various lines of businesses throughout the bank. On-the-job training supplemented by formal classroom work provides the associate with the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills, and experience required to assume a position as an analyst, credit portfolio manager, relationship manager or branch manager upon completion of the program.
