Bishop Moore Catholic High School senior Jeanne Kachris is playing her part to get the girls varsity lacrosse team to the state championship. She notched three goals and seven draw controls for the Hornets in a huge 19-8 win in their regional finals matchup against Newsome. The Hornets face Ponte Vedra today in the state semifinals.

What got you started playing lacrosse?
In New York, it’s a really big sport up there. My friends were playing and I started in third grade. What kept me staying with it was my parents pushing me to play at a higher level.
What’s your favorite sports team?
I’d probably say the New York Giants.
What’s your favorite place to eat?
I love Moe’s. Their queso ….
What’s your favorite ice cream flavor?
I’d say moose tracks.
If you could go anywhere on a trip, where would you go?
Greece, because I’m part Greek. I think we’re going to go next summer. I’ve always wanted to go there.
If you could have one superpower, what would it be?
Read other people’s minds. I want to know if people are lying and stuff.
What do you like to do for fun?
I watch sports a lot. I go to a lot of Bishop Moore sporting events to cheer them on.
Do you have any plans for this summer?
I’ll be working out a lot. I’m going to New York to visit family, too.
Cats or dogs?
Dogs. I’ve never had a cat or a dog, but I love puppies.
