It was a night of ice and fire during the Benji Watson Foundation's seventh annual fundraiser on Saturday, Dec. 2. The "Fire and Ice" benefit, held at the Veranda in Thornton Park, lived up to its name with cool drinks and a trio of fire performers that dazzled the crowd. College Park native Benjamin Watson was stricken with pediatric cancer when he was 14, and after overcoming the disease, started the foundation to raise money for other children suffering from pediatric cancer. Guests bid on autographed sports paraphernalia and VIP tickets to the Jimmy Fallon show at the silent and live auctions. Ben Watson sang a few songs for the crowd as the night came to a close.
