The Central Florida Hotel and Lodging Association celebrated a big day during its CFHLA Gives Scholarship Luncheon, held on Thursday, April 25, at the DoubleTree by Hilton near Universal. CFHLA awarded more than $200,000 in hospitality-student scholarships; $100,000 in family-member scholarships, hospitality and community grants; and recognized its 2018 CFHLA Public Servant of the Year, Orange County District 1 Commissioner Betsy VanderLey. Among the grants awardees were Olympia High, Orange Technical College, UCF Rosen College, Central Florida Community Arts and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
