It was a mix of laughter, tears and celebration Saturday, Jan. 12, during The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation’s third annual dinner banquet at the University of Central Florida. DeMott, a UCF student, was killed by a wrong-way drink driver in October 2015. The foundation her family has created seeks to raise awareness of the effects drunk driving has on everyone, educate students and young adults about the consequences and help other victims of DUI accidents. The DeMott family presented awards during the banquet to people who have had a hand in supporting the foundation and furthering DUI awareness.
