In a game played on the home floor of the Orlando Magic Jan. 22, the Lions triumphed over Cambridge Christian.
ORLANDO The Foundation Academy Lions boys basketball team got to play on the same court as the NBA's Orlando Magic and sit on the same visiting bench seats as the likes of Steph Curry and LeBron James when they played a game at the Amway Center Jan. 22.
It is the third year that the Lions have participated in a program through which the Magic host high school teams to play during the afternoon on the day of a game and then later return to watch the night's contest.
Foundation Academy jumped out to an early lead and defeated Cambridge Christian 61-32.
The Lions competitive cheerleading team also performed that night before the beginning of the professional game.
