Winter Park’s historic Kummer-Kilbourne House celebrated its 100th birthday with a public open house on Saturday, February 20. Winter Park Mayor Steve Leary kicked off the event with a proclamation and visitors toured the property, which holds a spot on the National Register of Historic Places by the United States Department of the Interior. The house was built in 1916 by lumberyard owner Gotthilf Oscar Kimmer and was meticulously restored by Allan and Linda Keen in 2012. The hardwood floors, fixtures and a concrete planter on the front porch date back to the home’s beginnings.
