The musical took place Thursday, April 28, through Saturday, April 30, at the Ocoee High theatre
Ocoee High School hosted the musical "Songs For A New World" on Thursday, April 28, and Friday, April 29.
"The musical talks about life, how sometimes we make decisions that we think we want and then realize we are not were we want to be," Technical Director Jeff Cook said. "It's about going full circle."
The entire musical had a cast of only five people; Karina Guerra, Stephanie Buttenbender, Alan Crisp, Michael Lim and Christian Simmons.
"It's about one moment," Music Director Samuel Carlton said. "Just when you think you have nothing to fear, when you are on the verge of success, the wind starts to blow, a journey comes to an end, and you find yourself in a new world."
The musical will take place for the last time Saturday, April 30, at 7 p.m. at the Ocoee High School Auditorium, 1925 Ocoee Crown Point Parkway. Tickets can be purchased here.
