The southwest Orlando community celebrated the first night of Chanukah with food, music and other festivities.
DR. PHILLIPS With live music, extreme-trampoline athletes, food, a horse-drawn carriage and more, Chabad of South Orlando’s 19th annual Chanukah Festival was a spectacle to behold from Sand Lake Road. Held on the first night of Chanukah — Sunday, Dec. 2 — the festival drew a crowd of hundreds to celebrate the beginning of the Jewish holiday. Children created sugar-filled menorahs and festive sunglasses while toting balloons and dreidel necklaces, and all guests indulged in the various festivities offered. Westgate Resorts founder and CEO David Siegel was invited to light the first candle on the menorah.
