Pitcher Jack Bellah threw a complete game shutout to record a win for himself and the Wolverines on Wednesday afternoon.
Windermere High walked away with a 4-0 win over rival Olympia thanks in large part to the pitching prowess of Jack Bellah during their matchup on Wednesday, March 3.
Through seven innings Bellah was nearly flawless, giving up only three hits and two walks, while recording two strikeouts and holding the Titans (3-3) to a goose egg on the board for the complete game shutout victory. Those three hits for the Titans came from the bats of Sammy Taveras, Mason Wilson and Justin Lewis.
Jack Waddingham led the way at the plate for the Wolverines (4-3), where he went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI singles and accounted for a run scored. Both of Waddingham's RBIs brought in Ryan Taylor — one in the first inning, and the second in the third inning — to make it 3-0 through three.
The Wolverines added their last run in the fifth, when Dylan Carroll scored on a wild pitch to boost Windermere's lead to the final score of 4-0.
Next up for the Wolverines is an away matchup against The Master's Academy (2-3), while the Titans look to bounce back against Windermere Prep (2-4). Both games will take place Friday, March 5.
