Students danced for hours to fundraise for the CMN
Windermere High School raised $87,396.12 during its dance marathon to benefit the Children’s Miracle Network on Friday, March 8. This year’s theme is For The Kids, and the Student Government Association’s goal was $70,000.
“It was such an amazing accomplishment, and I am so proud of them,” said Ashley Hoffman, Leadership/SGA advisor.
The event was held in the WHS gymnasium and featured games, activities, inflatables and hours of dancing.
The Allan and Heather Shields family, of Belle Isle, were special guests at the event. Twins Kendall and Carson were born three-and-one-half months early weighing 1 pound each. Their mother, Heather, was in the hospital nearly six months. She also was on five months of bedrest with the youngest child, Cooper.
