Audition for WOHS' 'Peter Pan'

Calling all young "Peter Pan" fans — The West Orange High School Theatre Department is holding auditions for the musical “Peter Pan,” and director Ken Rush is looking for 10-20 children ages 4 through eighth-graders. Auditions are Tuesday, Dec. 9, at 6 p.m. in the high school auditorium. Those auditioning must come prepared to sing a brief song and perform a brief poem, tell a joke or tell a brief story.

The show will be performed the second week of February. Cast members will be required to pay a $200 production fee and sell or buy 20 tickets. Rehearsals begin Jan. 8. There will be public and in-school performances.

Teachers, daycare directors, dance instructors and others associated with young people can call Rush if they are interested in taking their group to see the production.

The West Orange High School Theatre Department recently took top honors at the Florida Theatre Conference and the District V Thespian Festival One-Act Play Competition for their production of THE ELEPHANT MAN. This award winning production will represent the state of Florida in March at the Southeastern Theatre Conference in Chattanooga, Tennessee where it will compete with plays from 10 states.
